摘要 A method for determining system search conditions in a mobile communication terminal is provided to find a system quickly as maintaining the power consumption time of a battery. A search cycle table of the combination of a plurality of search times(Tsei) and plurality of latency times(Tslj) are prepared(S51). According to the given search cycle table, the time(Taqij) and battery consumption amount(Bij), required when a mobile communication terminal finds a system through the system search, are detected(S53). And then, the time(TaqH) and battery consumption amount(BH), required for finding the system in which the value of the first search condition decision formula(J) is minimized in the maximum Lagrangian multiplier(lambdaH) value, are extracted from the detected time(Taqij) and battery consumption amount(Bij)(S55, S57). The Lagrangian multiplier(lambda) value is repetitively updated by utilizing values of the extracted TaqH, BH, BL and TaqL to determines the optimum Lagrangian multiplier(lambda0) value in which the extracted battery consumption amount(Bij) comes close to the target battery consumption amount(BT)(S59). The time for finding the system in which the value of the first search condition decision formula is minimized is extracted from the time(Taqij) for finding the detected system(S61), and is determined as the first search condition(S63).
