An insertion type edge protection structure is provided to prevent the children from being hurt by covering edges of desk, furniture, or teaching aids by using soft synthetic resin material. An insertion type edge protection structure comprises: a long main body(11) of which the outer circumference is formed to be rounded in the longitudinal direction, which has the sidewall part on both side bottoms, and is extrusion molded by using the soft plastic material; and an opening(12) which is formed in the longitudinal direction of the main body and of which width gets wide toward the top of the main body. In the sidewall part of the main body, an inner side cutting section is formed to be easily opened while having elasticity.
