TRANSFLECTIVE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY PANEL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transflective liquid crystal display panel of a VA system preventing light from leaking near a reflection part and a transmission part and having satisfactory contrast and satisfactory display quality as the transflective liquid crystal display panel with a top coat layer for adjusting a cell gap, formed on a color filter substrate side of the reflection part.

SOLUTION: In the transflective liquid crystal display panel 10A having the transmission part 16 and the reflection part 15 in each sub pixel. The top coat layer 27 for adjusting a cell gap is formed on the color filter substrate CF side of the reflection part 15. A black matrix 30 is disposed on the color filter substrate CF so as to shield from light a step part formed by ends on the boundary sides between the transmission part 16 and the reflection part 15 of at least the top coat layer 27 in plan view.
