PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for realizing good crushing of a foamed roller and also for realizing the small-sized apparatus and to provide a manufacturing method of the foamed roller. SOLUTION: In the crushing method of the foamed roller which has a core material and a cylindrical foam layer formed on an outer periphery of the core material, a pair of rolls composed of two rolls, which are arranged in parallel with each other and respectively have air jetting parts at their peripheral surfaces, are prepared. The foamed roller is arranged between two rolling rolls in parallel with the pair of rolls. The foamed roller is pressed with the pair of rolls by continuously or stepwise changing a space between the foamed roller and the pair of rolls or a space between two fellow rolls. At the same time, air is jetted respectively from the air jetting parts of two rolls and the foam layer whole area of the foamed roller is crushed with wind pressure of jetted air.
