PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image sensor for detecting light imprinted into a monitor image. SOLUTION: The image sensor includes a light candidate pixel extracting means 10 for extracting pixels that are likely as being the light caught in monitor images, based on the monitor images captured at a predetermined frequency. The light candidate pixel extracting means 10 includes a determining means for determining whether brightness values of corresponding pixels between a plurality of monitor images captured at the predetermined frequency increase or decrease; a cumulative change quantity calculating means for calculating a cumulative quantity of change for each pixel, based on a temporal continuity of determination of an increase determined by the determining means and a temporal continuity of determination of a decrease judged by the determining means; and the light candidate pixel extracting means 10 extracts the pixels whose cumulative change quantity is a predetermined threshold or higher as the light candidate pixels.
