PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a smaller type waveguide band-pass filter by an element array in the transmission direction without fitting a waveguide resonator or the like in the direction orthogonal to the transmission direction. SOLUTION: Small aperture sections 4 having high-pass filter characteristics with high-pass bands superposed to a low-pass band for a waffle section 8 are fitted to an input-side transmission line and an output-side transmission line for the waffle section 8 with low-pass type filter characteristics. Accordingly, the superposed pass bands are used as pass bands, a region lower than the pass bands is damped by the damping characteristics of the small aperture sections 4, the region higher than the pass bands is damped by the damping characteristics of the waffle section 8 and the band pass type (a band pass) filter is obtained. Since basic components comprise only the waffle section 8 and the two small aperture sections 4, the band pass type filter is miniaturized. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
