PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic transistor having high mobility and a large current on/off ratio, and exhibiting excellent storage stability. SOLUTION: The organic transistor having an organic semiconductor layer contains at least one kind of compounds expressed by a general formula 1, where X<SB>1</SB>-X<SB>16</SB>indicate a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a straight-chain, branched, or annular alkyl group, a straight-chain, branched, or annular alkoxy group, or a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group independently. A ring A indicates a substituted or unsubstituted thiophene ring, a thienothiophene ring, a dithienothiophene ring, or a substituted or unsubstituted benzodithiophene ring.
