PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multidirectional input device capable of performing high-accuracy detection without causing variations in standard positions of slider rests at their non-operations. SOLUTION: The multidirectional input device is provided with: driving members 4, 5 driven to rotate by an operating member 3 at tilting operation; a reset spring for resetting these members 3 to 5 to neutral positions; and rotary variable resistors 10, 11 each individually detecting rotating positions of each driving member 4, 5. The rotary variable resistors are provided with slider rests 21, 31 holding sliders 22, 32 and rotating in linking with the driving members 4, 5, substrates 23, 33 equipped with resistive body patterns with which the sliders slide-contact, and a rotating position correcting means having a convex part and a concave part free for locking and unlocking, so that the standard positions of the slider rests with respect to the substrates are corrected at the non-operation of the operating member 3 as the convex part is fitted into the concave part.
