PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch device for a vehicle which reduces at least the dimension of a width direction. SOLUTION: The switch device for a vehicle includes: a case 3 fixed in a switch case 1; an operation knob 4 which is swingably supported to the case 3 and in which an operator can perform a swinging operation; a microswitch 5 which is arranged in the case 3 and has an actuator 5a which is pushed by a swinging operation of the operation knob 4; and a coil spring 6 and steel ball 7 which always bias the operation knob 4 in a direction which resists the swinging operation, wherein the switch device can operate various electrical components which the vehicle carries when the actuator 5a of the microswitch 5 is pushed to form a predetermined electrical circuit. In the switch device, the operation knob 4 is arranged striding over the width direction of the case 3, and the coil spring 6 and steel ball 7 are arranged in the case 3 and biased by pushing the end face 4e of the operation knob 4.
