PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating method for eliminating deposition in the production/purification process of bisphenol A and achieving the maximum efficiency. SOLUTION: This method for producing the bisphenol A having <15 wt.% phenol content is provided by performing the suspension crystallization of a product mixture containing the bisphenol A, a trace amount component and phenol in a crystallizer, and pump-sending the product mixture through a heat exchanger. By the deposition (fouling, i.e., the crystallization and deposition on the surface of the heat exchanger), the pressure difference across the heat exchanger increases from 0.5 to 3 bar. As a result, the decreased flow rate which increases the fouling in the crystallizer, is offset by increasing the pump speed continuously, and the pump speed is regulated in a way of maintaining the electric current consumption of the pump so that the fluctuation of the same becomes at most±5%.
