Disclosed is dietetic formulation comprising extract from five plant species: centaury plant (Centaurii herba) chicory root (Cichorii radix) nettle plant (Urticaie herba) melissa leaf (Melissae herba) cardoon leaf (Cynara cardunculus) and physiologically acceptable carrier. The formulation is useful for prevention and treatment of both types of diabetes.
