Ink for a color filter is provided to prepare a color filter with excellent uniformity by suppressing irregular color and density at each part. Ink for a color filter comprises a coloring agent and a liquid media dissolved and/or dispersed with the coloring agent. The liquid media contains a component (a) and a component (b) having the boiling point higher than that of the component (a). The viscosity of the component (b) at 25°C is higher than that of the component (a) at 25°C.
