<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body composition meter capable of measurement immediately after doing exercises or taking a bath. <P>SOLUTION: Biological electric impedance is measured by a current application electrode and a voltage measurement electrode and according to measured value measured by the electrodes. The instrument is provided with an operating means for obtaining a body composition from the biological electric impedance. In addition, the instrument is provided with a body temperature detecting means for detecting body temperature, a pulse detecting means for detecting pulse, and a correcting means for correcting a body composition to be obtained with the body temperature and the number of pulses (the number of heartbeats and the pulse rate). Also, the pulse detecting means is a pulse detecting means for detecting the pulse with a thumb. The correcting means performs correction when the body temperature is high and the pulse rate is high and when the body temperature is low and the pulse rate is low.
