<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-layer structured yarn suitable to a wiping cloth high in wiping-off capacity for oil, water, etc. and dust-catching capacity, and slight in dust-raising tendency enough to be usable in industrial applications. <P>SOLUTION: The two-layer structured yarn is a combined yarn having multifilaments A with a single filament fineness of 0.0001-0.1 dtex and multifilaments B with a single filament fineness of 0.1-10 dtex. In this two-layer structured yarn, at the interlaced points, there are 20 or less points/m where the multifilaments are exposed on the fiber surface, and the multifilaments A are disposed mainly at the sheath part, while the multifilaments B at the core part. This extrafine two-layer structured yarn meets the following requirements: (1) the tenacity of the multifilament A≥3.0 cN/dtex and (2) 20 points/m≤the interlacing number of the yarn≤100 points/m.
