CONDUCTIVE MEMBER, PROCESS CARTRIDGE HAVING THE SAME, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS HAVING THE PROCESS CARTRIDGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive member capable of maintaining a stable space between an image carrier and the conductive member even if used for a long period of time in an environmental condition.

SOLUTION: In the conductive member 10, steps B are axially formed of both ends of a central part 1a of a conductive support body 1 and small diameter parts 1b of the conductive support body 1, and an electrical resistance adjusting layer 2 is formed following the steps B of the conductive support body 1 to cover part or all of the small diameter parts 1b of the conductive support body 1. On the electrical resistance adjusting layer 2 formed at the opposite gate side of a forming mold so as to cover the small diameter part 1b of the conductive support body 1, a step B of the electrical resistance adjusting layer 2 is axially formed. The dimension of the outer diameter r of the step A of the electrical resistance adjusting layer 2 is set smaller than the dimension of the outer diameter of the electrical resistance adjusting layer 2 formed in the central part 1a of the conductive support body 1.
