PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for drying a humidified dust, which can improve grindability of the humidified dust, and to provide a method for producing reduced iron with the use of the humidified dust. SOLUTION: This method for drying the humidified dust includes mixing a humidified dust 15 which has a moisture content of 13 to 17% by being blended with water and contains less than 5% M-Fe, with a converter dust 13 which contains 5% or more M-Fe to produce a mixture dust 17 so that the moisture content of the mixture dust 17 can be 10% or less. Such a mixture dust 17 can be refined so that grain sizes under an 80% sieve can be 500μm or smaller. Accordingly, by using the mixture dust 17 as a raw material of the reduced iron, the reduced iron of high quality can be produced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
