PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mask for sealing opening ends of a honeycomb structure, by which the opening end-sealed honeycomb structure, the manufacturing time of which is shortened to reduce the manufacturing cost thereof, can be obtained while restraining the discharge of industrial waste. SOLUTION: An apparatus 10 for sealing opening ends of the honeycomb structure includes: a storage part 11 for storing slurry being a raw material for forming a sealed part 34 alternately at one opening end and the other opening end of a cell 33 of the honeycomb structure 31; a mask part 1 arranged on the upper surface side of the storage part 11; and a slurry inflow mechanism 16 for making the slurry flow into the cell 33 after the honeycomb structure 31 is placed on the mask part 1. The mask part 1 is provided with: a plurality of convex insertion parts 2 formed to be inserted into the opening ends of a part of cells 33 of the honeycomb structure 31; and a plurality of openings 3 which are opened correspondingly to the opening ends of the residual cells 33 and used for making the slurry flow into the residual cells.
