PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a metallic rotating member which is suitable for a boss part integrating type toothed disk or the like. SOLUTION: A flare part 19 is formed by bending a cylinder part 12 which is erected integrally from the middle of one side of a flange part 13. Next, by compressing the flare part 19 and superimposing the outer peripheral surface 19a of the flare part 19 on the one side 13a of the flange part 13, the boss part 23 is formed and work hardening is applied to the boss part 23 at the same time.
