PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector connection structure, in which a connecting state of an optical connector can be immediately confirmed at a glance. SOLUTION: A light emitting element 10 and a switch part 11 composed of a pair of contacts 11a and 11b are provided on a connector body 3 in a manner such that they are serially connected between a pair of first contacts 12a and 12b provided on the connector body 3. The pair of first contacts 12a and 12b contact with a pair of second contacts 14a and 14b provided on an optical adaptor 2 side when the optical connector 1 is fitted to the optical adaptor 2. The pair of second contacts 14a and 14b are connected to a power source 16. When an optical ferule 4 is retreated within the optical connector in connector connecting operation, the switch part 11 is laid in a conducting state to light the light emitting element 10. Since the light emitting element is lighted when the optical connector is fitted to the optical adaptor, the propriety of the connecting state can be immediately confirmed at a glance.
