A zigbee device having a function for informing high-speed data transmission and a method therefor are provided to inform a destination device whether data is transmitted within a transmission time complying with the IEEE 802.15.4 agreement. An application part(110) performs various functions according to the selection or request of a user. A network part(120) generates a data frame having the destination address to which data will be transmitted. A media access control hardware part(131) has a preset address table (131a) to control the transmission of data frame. A media access control software unit(132) records the destination address of the data frame of the network part in the address table. A physical part(140) transmits and receives the data frame through a radio frequency signal according to the control of the media access control hardware part.
