<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a reception packet can not be shut off by a Mac address filter in a network environment where a router is present. <P>SOLUTION: In a communication apparatus, if a network address in a network layer of a received packet, a MAC address of the packet or a name of a host that has transmitted the packet is registered in a filter table, reception of the packet is shut off (S18). Furthermore, in a case where the network address is different but the MAC address thereof or the name of the host that has transmitted the packet is matched, a corresponding network address of the table is updated with the network address of the received packet (S14, S17). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
