<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly sensitive detection element, a detection device, and a method for producing these. <P>SOLUTION: The detecting element for detecting a target substance in a sample includes a substrate and a metal structure. The substrate has pores in which the thickness direction of the substrate corresponds to the depth direction of the pores and in which part of the substrate forming the pores constitutes part of the outer surface of the substrate.
