PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device and a method of manufacturing the same reducing uneven luminance due to change of luminance with the lapse of time and capable of displaying a high-quality image for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The image display device includes a plurality of display elements and a correction circuit correcting image data for reducing the uneven luminance among the plurality of display elements. The correction circuit includes a first storage part storing first characteristic data indicating change characteristics of luminance with respect to a driving time for each of the plurality of display elements, a second storage part storing driving time data indicating a value having correlation to the driving time of the display element and updated when the display element is driven, and a calculation part calculating correction values respectively corresponding to the plurality of display elements on the basis of the first characteristic data and the driving time data.
