PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system wherein adoption processing of a master unit and a slave unit can be carried out and a transmission strength can be adjusted utilizing the adoption processing. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the radio communication system including a plurality of slave units and a master unit for performing radio communication with each of the plurality of slave units and also having an adoption processing for carrying out processing (adoption processing) which performs adoption by causing each of the slave units and the master unit to acquire ID information each other, wherein the adoption processing includes: first processing where any one (target slave unit) of the plurality of slave units transmits by radio its own ID information to the master unit with a predetermined transmission strength; second processing where the master unit receives by radio the ID information of the target slave unit and detects a reception strength in the radio reception; and third processing where the master unit sets the transmission strength in the radio transmission to the target slave unit based on a result of the detection.
