PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor where low ESR is stably designed, and to provide a method for manufacturing the solid electrolytic capacitor. SOLUTION: The end ridge 71A of a conductive adhesive 71 that electrically connects a cathode section 12 and a second conductive pattern 52A is the profile of an element laminate in a direction perpendicular to the lamination direction of the capacitor elements 10 to 40 at a position between the cathode section 12 and a second conductive pattern 52A of the capacitor 10 that is the lowermost layer in the lamination direction of the capacitor elements 10 to 40, and is protruded outwardly of the profile 10C that is a portion equivalent to the cathode section 12 of the capacitor element 10 at the lowermost layer. Therefore, a part of a conductive material section 72, which is a portion that is an extremely thin portion, and a part of a silver paste layer 12C, which is a portion that is an extremely thin portion, are covered with the conductive material section 72 so as to supplement them.
