PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent rotation of its key when an improper key is inserted into a lock body. SOLUTION: The key 2 has rectangular key teeth 22A-22E having the same height and having the length set in any of a plurality of stages. A lock body 1 includes an outer cylinder 3 having an engaging groove, an inner cylinder 4 having a through-hole, disks 5A-5E having a recessed part communicating with the through-hole when rotating at a preset angle by being positionally dislocated to the through-hole of the inner cylinder 4 in a standby state, partition plates 6A and 6B having a recessed part communicating with the through-hole of the inner cylinder 4, and a latch member 8 regulating the rotational movement of the inner cylinder when positioned in a communicating part between the engaging groove of the outer cylinder 3 and the through-hole of the inner cylinder 4 and allowing the rotational movement of the inner cylinder when positioned in a communicating part between the recessed part aligned in a row and the through-hole of the inner cylinder 4. The respective disks have the thickness coincident with the length of the corresponding key teeth, and the respective partition plates have the thickness coincident with the length of a key groove between the key teeth. A step part abutting on a key teeth part and without abutting on a key groove part between the key teeth, is formed on the hole peripheral edge of a key insertion hole of the respective disks and the respective partition plates.
