PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a window assembly which directly extrusion-molds a molding to an edge part of a back surface of a window plate, and accurately forms a desired shaped corner molding part to be attached. SOLUTION: The window assembly 10 having a slender synthetic resin made window molding 20 directly extrusion molded along an upper edge part of the rear surface and right and left both side edge parts of the window plate 11 is manufactured by disposing dummy panels 71-74 on the upper corner part 11a of the window plate 11. The lower surfaces of the dummy panels 71-74 are provided with a temporary holding means 80 having such a holding force that extension molding parts 22, 26 of respective molding parts 21, 25 directly extrusion molded on these lower surfaces are not peeled due to their own weight. After the extension molding parts 22, 26 are cooled and solidified to the extent not to be plastically deformed, the dummy panels 71-74 are separated from the upper corner part 11a. After the extension molding parts 22, 26 are cut, the end surface of the respective molding parts 21, 25 are butted to each other to form a corner molding part 28. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
