It is an object to provide a data processing technology for making it possible to efficiently transmit image data indicative of a bar code. In order to achieve the object, a delivery side device for delivering product data to an electronic shelf tag has a plurality of modules (520) extending along a first direction (D1), which generate and transmit partial bar code image data indicative of a partial image (530) including parts of the plurality of the modules (520), respectively, composing a bar code (512) with respect to the bar code (512) disposed in parallel with a second direction (D2) perpendicular to the first direction (D1). The electronic shelf tag receives the partial bar code transmitted from the delivery side device, and generates an entire bar code image data indicative of the aggregate bar code (512) in accordance with the partial bar code image data.
