#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves carrying a printing machine in a condition, in which controller-sided assemblies (12-15) are to be tested. A test pattern is applied to an interface of the controller-sided assemblies to be tested in a memory-programmable controller (11). A characteristic of the assemblies to be tested is monitored and recorded on the applied test pattern. The characteristic of the assemblies to be tested is evaluated using an external evaluation device (16) and judged whether the assemblies are operated in proper form.
