<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive and information recording method which enhances recording quality, by effectively optimizing recording power and recording pulse timing with respect to a temperature change, only when needed by referring to a past optimization history. <P>SOLUTION: A disk ID, ambient temperature of laser in recording strategy optimization processing and optimized recording strategy are stored in a storage means, and the ambient temperature of the laser is compared with the history of the storage means, thereby determining whether to optimize the recording strategy or whether to employ the recording strategy of the history. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
