PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame retardant polycarbonate resin composition free of a halogen and phosphorus, exhibiting an excellent flame retardancy, and being remarkably excellent in fluidity and operability at granulating processing. SOLUTION: The flame retardant polycarbonate resin composition comprises (A) 80-98 wt.% of a polycarbonate resin and (B) 2-20 wt.% of a terpene resin, provided that the total amount of the resins is 100 pts.wt., and (C) 0.02-2 pts.wt. of an organometallic salt compound, (D) 0.05-5 pts.wt. of a fiber-forming fluorine-containing polymer and (E) 0-50 pts.wt. of an inorganic filler, characterized in that the terpene resin (B) consists of particles passing through a standard sieve with 2,000μm of nominal size of the Japanese Industrial Standard. The flame-retardant polycarbonate resin composition has an excellent flame-retardancy without using a conventional flame retardant agent containing a halogen or phosphorus. The composition is friendly to the environment as the result of absence of anxiety on the generation of gas containing halogen and phosphorus caused by a frame retardant in burning.
