PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and optionally change input image data of a full-color image to an arbitrary single hue and output the data, in an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a color conversion processing unit 102 comprising a color conversion table used to convert the input image data into predetermined image data. The color conversion processing unit 102 includes a first conversion means of extracting input-side image data of the color conversion table and converting the image data into image data including hue values, a substitution means of substituting one previously hue value for the hue values, a second data conversion means of converting the image data inversely to the conversion by the first data conversion means, a color conversion means of converting the image data into predetermined image data using the color conversion table, and a generation means of generating another color conversion table based upon the input-side image data and the predetermined image data obtained through the color conversion means.
