PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measure capable of optimally adapting maximum permissible torque. SOLUTION: Torque of the drive unit is set by a driver, actual torque of the drive unit is determined, and the maximum permissible torque is determined at least based on desire of the driver. When the actual torque exceeds the maximum permissible torque, torque reduction, torque limitation, or both of them are executed. At least one operation state where torque of the drive unit is increased by additional load is identified and the maximum permissible torque is increased during the at least one operation state. The maximum permissible torque is controlled to be increased under an operation state where a low temperature engine is used more than under an operation state where a high temperature engine is used.
