PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal pump capable of preventing wear of a bearing and an inner bottom surface of a pump housing part by a bearing plate, of achieving miniaturization and cost reduction of the pump by being formed into a simple structure, of preventing occurrence of wear between facing surfaces of the bearing and the bearing plate, and of extending the life of the pump. SOLUTION: The pump housing part 7, and a suction port 9 and a discharge port 11 opened to the pump housing part 7 are formed on a pump case 1. An impeller 6 is housed in the pump housing part 7. The bearing 22 arranged at the center of the impeller 6 is rotatably journaled by a shaft body 23 arranged in the pump housing part 7. A drive means rotationally driving the impeller 6 around the shaft body 23 is provided. The bearing plate 26b is arranged between an end surface of the bearing 22 on the suction port 9 side, and the inner bottom surface 7c of the pump housing part 7 facing it. Dynamic pressure generating grooves 32 extending in a direction intersecting with the rotating direction (a) of the impeller 6 are formed on at least either of the mutually-facing surfaces of the bearing plate 26b and the bearing 22.
