BATTERY STATE MONITORING CIRCUIT AND BATTERY DEVICE

A battery state monitoring circuit of low breakdown voltage and simple circuitry capable of coping with variation in number of batteries easily. A battery device is also provided. The battery state monitoring circuit comprises a first voltage monitoring terminal; a second voltage monitoring terminal, a first transmission terminal; a second transmission terminal; a first reception terminal; a second reception terminal; a control terminal; an overcharge detection circuit for detecting whether a battery is in overcharged state or not based on the voltage between the first and second voltage monitoring terminals and outputting an overcharge detection signal indicating the detection result; and an overcharge information communication circuit for transmitting an overcharge signal, which indicates overcharge state, from the first transmission terminal to the outside, in the case where at least one of the overcharge signal indicating whether other battery is in overcharge state or not and the overcharge detection signal received through the first reception terminal is indicating overcharge state.
