A rubber gasket composition for a plate type heat exchanger is provided to ensure excellent durability(heat resistance) at high temperature by using the domestic crude rubber (especially, NBR). A rubber gasket composition for a plate type heat exchanger comprises acrylonitrile butadiene rubber 30~55 weight%, carbon black 20~50 weight%, inorganic filler 5~15 weight%, plasticizer 3~8 weight%, aging inhibitor 2~7 weight%, cross-linking agent 1~3 weight% and cross linking activator 3~8 weight%. The carbon black uses a thermal carbon black and furnace carbon black together. The inorganic filler is a kaolin inorganic filler. The plasticizer is a mellitate plasticizer. The aging inhibitor uses a dihydroquinoline aging inhibitor and an imidazole aging inhibitor together. The cross-linking agent is a dimethyl - di hexane (dimethyl-dihexane) cross-linking agent.
