<p num="1"><br/><br/><br/>A display device is provided that includes: an unevenness correction <br/>information <br/>storage unit that stores unevenness correction information used to correct <br/>uneven light <br/>emission of the display unit; and an unevenness correction unit that corrects <br/>uneven light <br/>emission of the display unit by reading out the unevenness correction <br/>information from <br/>the unevenness correction information storage unit and by performing signal <br/>processing <br/>on the video signal having a linear characteristic. The unevenness correction <br/>unit <br/>corrects the uneven light emission of the display unit by combining a first <br/>correction that <br/>is applied in a horizontal direction or a vertical direction of the display <br/>unit, and a <br/>second correction that is applied to a section of the display unit in which <br/>uneven light <br/>emission is occurring.<br/>
