摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead-free piezoelectric ceramic sinterable at low temperatures. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a sintering aid for producing a lead-free piezoelectric ceramic including a compound represented by the composition formula, x(Bi<SB>0.5</SB>Na<SB>0.5</SB>TiO<SB>3</SB>)-y(BaTiO<SB>3</SB>)-z(SrTiO<SB>3</SB>) (wherein x+y+z=1) as a main component. The additive comprises oxides of bismuth and zinc, and the balance boron oxide. The BNT-BT-ST-based piezoelectric ceramics can be densified at the firing temperature of &le;1,100&deg;C by using the above sintering additive. As a result, piezoelectric devices can be made by using the lead-free piezoelectric ceramic, thus preventing damage to natural environment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
