REMOVING METHOD OF NITROGEN DIOXIDE USING JAPAN CEDAR MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method and an apparatus of air containing pollutant like nitrogen dioxide.

SOLUTION: The cleaning method of air includes a process of bringing air containing pollutant like nitrogen dioxide into contact with a cross section of Japan cedar to clean the air. The cleaning apparatus cleans air containing pollutant like nitrogen dioxide, having a surface layer consisting of the cross section in contact with air containing pollutant like nitrogen dioxide. The cleaning apparatus is useful for building materials. The apparatus shows remarkably high cleaning amount of nitrogen oxides compared to conventional cleaning apparatuses. The apparatus has a very high recovery speed of cleaning capacity after once used, and remarkably high cleaning capacity of nitrogen oxides compared to a nitrogen oxides cleaning apparatus using a photocatalyst.
