PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire pump device surely and effectively operating under unfavorable condition when an accident occurs. SOLUTION: This fire pump device includes: an electric pump 10 pressurizing and feeding water; one or a plurality of water discharge means 50 provided at a delivery side of the pump 10; a pressure detector 72 attached to the delivery side of the pump 10; and a variable speed control means 30 executing variable speed control of the pump 10 to keep delivery pressure at a predetermined value, based on output of the pressure detector 72. Operation is continued in operation due to fire and operation is stopped in test operation when warning of occurrence of abnormality is issued during operation of the pump 10.
