PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic train controller that achieves further size reduction of a data holding device by reducing a data amount held in an on-board controller. SOLUTION: A train position and a stop target position on a track are managed by each section unit composed of one or more track circuits dividing the track. Speed pattern information is divided in a section unit. Regarding speed pattern information in a divided section unit for each stop target position, each part, in which contents of the speed pattern data become common, of the speed pattern information is held among a plurality of pieces of speed pattern information in common so as to eliminate overlapping. Simultaneously, a speed pattern corresponding to the stop target position and the train position is prepared from the speed pattern information in a divided section unit while holding section connection information.
