PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate a suitable white balance coefficient using an evaluated value of a specific chromaticity or imaging conditions in addition to detection information on a face area. SOLUTION: A first white balance coefficient calculation unit 80A calculates a first white balance coefficient based upon a color image, a second white balance coefficient calculation unit 80B calculates a second white balance coefficient based upon a specific subject, and a white balance composition unit 110 weights the first white balance coefficient and second white balance coefficient based upon an evaluation result of a specific color evaluation unit 77 and imaging conditions of an imaging condition control unit 82, thereby to calculate a third white balance coefficient.
