PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect information on nodes efficiently in a transmission path system where a plurality of nodes are connected in a ring. SOLUTION: Respective nodes 1-6 are dynamically determined to be one of A terminal station that blocks the transmission of a frame around A system and enables the transmission of a frame around B system, B terminal station that enables the transmission of a frame around the A system and terminates the transmission path of a frame around the B system, and an intermediate station enabling the transmission of frames around the A, B systems. The A terminal station generates a frame and adds information on its own node for transmitting around the B system. The intermediate station adds information on its own node for transmitting around the B system when the frame is received.
