PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of suppressing the degradation of a wearing feeling and the occurrence of skin troubles due to remaining liquid even while being capable of supplying a skin care substance with a moisturizing effect to the skin. SOLUTION: For the absorbent article 1, a moisturizer holding sheet 6 to which a phosphorylcholine group containing polymer is applied as a moisturizer is interposed between a surface sheet 3 and an absorbent 4, and the moisturizer is not applied to the surface sheet 3. When the surface sheet 3 is brought into press contact with the moisturizer holding sheet 6 with press contact force at a prescribed level or higher, the composition fibers of the moisturizer holding sheet 6 are projected to the surface side of the surface sheet 3 through the gaps of the fibers and holes 3c. When the force of bringing the surface sheet 3 into press contact with the moisturizer holding sheet 6 is less than the prescribed level, the part on the side of the surface sheet 3 of the moisturizer holding sheet 6 is not projected to the surface side of the surface sheet 3.
