The invention relates to a method and equipment for applying a material on the inner surface of a cylindrical body. A particularly interesting application of the invention is in the field of applying an inner coating in metal pipes such as pipes made of steel, cast iron, stainless steel or aluminium. The method allows the application of a material (5) on the inner surface (8) of a cylindrical body (6) and comprises the step of rotating said cylindrical body (6). The method of the invention further includes the step of placing a gutter (2) inside said cylindrical body (6), said gutter (2) being provided with a receptacle (9) containing said material (5) to be applied and having no contact point with the inner surface (8) of said cylindrical body (6), and a step of rotating said gutter (2) so that said material (5) pours inside said cylindrical body (6). |
