A pharmaceutical composition suitable for peroral administration, comprising an active compound-carrier complex in finely divided form and dispersed in a liquid-based medium, wherein the active compound-carrier complex is a phenothiazine dyestuff bonded to an ion exchange resin; a process for producing the same and use of the composition in the treatment of a bacterial infection or a protozoal disease.
