<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill dispenser which is configured to convey bills in two directions along a bill conveying path including a bill identifying part, with the bill conveying path simplified and a temporary storage and other storages also simplified to reduce the rate of jamming of not only Japanese bills but bills of various sizes. <P>SOLUTION: The bill dispenser is configured so that bills are conveyed in two directions along a bill conveying path 501b passing through a bill identifying part 30. During bill depositing and counting action by which the bills deposited are passed from a bill slot 20 to the bill identifying part and conveyed to a temporary storage 40, and during bill withdrawing action by which the bills to be withdrawn are passed through the bill identifying part from a bill storage 60 or the like and conveyed to the bill slot, the bill conveying path 501b is driven in a first conveying direction. During the depositing and storage of bills during which the bills stored in the temporary storage are stored in the bill storage 60 or the like after a transaction is complete, the bill conveying path 501b is driven in a second conveying direction opposite the first conveying direction. If a bill to be withdrawn is rejected, the bill rejected is temporarily stored in the temporary storage, and the bill conveying path is driven in the second conveying direction so that the bill is passed through the bill identifying part from the temporary storage and stored in the bill storage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
