<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an electrolyte-electrode assembly which is hard to get damaged though it is thin and shows sufficient conductivity. <P>SOLUTION: Secondary electrolytes 22a, 22b are arranged on either end face of a primary electrolyte 20 to prepare a laminated electrode 16 with a thickness of 100 micrometers or less. Materials and thicknesses of the primary electrolyte 20 and the secondary electrolytes 22a, 22b are selected so that a total sheet resistivity of the primary electrolyte 20 and the secondary electrolytes 22a, 22b is less than 0.40 Ωcm<SP>2</SP>, and the laminated electrolyte 16 has a fracture energy of 0.3 mJ or more. For example, the laminated electrolyte 16 may be formed so that the material of the primary electrolyte 20 and the secondary electrolyte 22a, 22b is to be a stabilized zirconia with Sc<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>added by 10 mol% and with Sc<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>added by 6 mol%, respectively, with a thickness of 70 micrometers, and 10 micrometers respectiely. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
