<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a membrane electrode assembly (MEA). <P>SOLUTION: An ion-exchange membrane is set in a vacuum fixing device in which a ventilating plane is set, a forming member having a through hole is set on the membrane, catalyst slurry is poured into the through hole of the forming member, and at the same time, the vacuum fixing device is heated to an interfacing temperature of the catalyst slurry and the membrane, a projection part of a presser plate is press-inserted into the through hole of the forming member to form a first catalyst electrode layer on one surface of the ion-exchange membrane, and after cooling, the ion-exchange membrane is reversed, and similarly, a second catalyst electrode layer is formed on the other surface of the ion-exchange membrane. A three-layer MEA of CEL (Catalyst Electrode Layer), PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane), and the second catalyst electrode layer is obtained, and effect capable of controlling the thickness of the membrane-electrode assembly is also obtained. By adding a GDL (Gas Diffusion Layer) before the presser plate of the second time is press-inserted, a five-layer type MEA of GDL, catalyst electrode layer, PEM, the second catalyst electrode layer, and GDL' is obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
