<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for changing or repairing the weld of a jet pump riser pipe. <P>SOLUTION: A support clamp assembly 60 mechanically securing a thermal sleeve 32 to an elbow conduit 34 includes: a tension shaft 64 having a first end extendable through an opening 118 in a sidewall of the elbow conduit and an opposite end with a head; a cruciform assembly 62 having a base with an opening to receive the tension shaft and to abut on the head of the shaft and being seated in the thermal sleeve; a boss 66 slidable over the first end of the tension shaft and having a curved surface seated on the outside surface of the elbow conduit, and a coupling device 68 engaging with the first end of the tension shaft and abutting on the boss. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
